General Job Description:
To support young people in developing self-care and independent living skills while helping them to develop the capacity and opportunity to eventually live an independent life in the community.
Social Care Workers-Registered Children’s Homes: base rate €16.50 per hour

Essential Criteria:
Candidates must have at a minimum a 3-year QQI level 7 degree in Applied Social Studies or Professional Social Care -Social Care Practice.
The Following degree minimum equivalencies may be considered:
Level 8 in Psychology
Level 7 in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy
Level 7 in Counselling Professional

Or a Professional qualification in:
Youth and Community Work
Social Work
Social Sciences
Teaching & Nursing
Addiction studies where appropriate

Desirable Criteria:
Experience working in a Registered Childrens Home
Experience of working within a Trauma Informed Approach
Experience working with vulnerable young people
A full clean Drivers Licence
