As part of Saint John of God Community Services, Dublin South East provides a network of education, training, employment, respite and community living supports to children and adults with intellectual disabilities in South Dublin.
We are recruiting for 2 social worker posts as follows:
Professionally Qualified Social Worker for Adult Services – Permanent
Professionally Qualified Social Worker for Children’s Services – Permanent
Please note that the children’s services post will initially be located at Saint John of God Dublin South East Services, but may be transferred as part of the HSE Progressing Disabilities project.
Applications are invited for the post of Social Worker, providing social work support to the children, young people and adults with an intellectual disability that attend our Services. The successful candidate will
Seek to improve the health and social wellbeing of service users and their families through the provision of an accessible, equitable, person-centred service.
Be a Deputy Designated Person responsible for the reporting and screening of any child or vulnerable adult protection concerns across the services.
Requirements:
A recognised qualification as a Social Worker including validation of qualifications with NQSW/CORU if qualified outside the Republic of Ireland
Relevant experience in the area of intellectual disability advantageous
Knowledge of managing child and vulnerable adult protection concerns in accordance with legislation and guidelines
Clear understanding of clinical governance within a multi-disciplinary team context.
Excellent communication and organisational skills, flexibility and commitment.
Excellent knowledge of and commitment to national policy changes and regulatory imperatives
A proven commitment to person centeredness and excellence in service delivery
A full clean driver’s licence
