The successful candidate must:
Have a level 7 qualification or higher in Youth Work, Community Work, Social Studies or Social Care.
Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience of working in a youth work setting with ‘at-risk’ young people in a paid capacity.
Have experience of developing positive working relationships with young people, their families and communities.
Have experience of leading a team.
Have experience of providing line management, support & supervision to staff/volunteers/students.
Have experience of working on an inter-agency basis with a range of partners.
Have a good working knowledge of the youth work sector in Ireland
Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and strong recording, writing, reporting and evaluation skills & experience.
Be willing to work unsocial hours and a time off in lieu system.

Have a full clean driving license and own transport.
The successful candidate will be employed by Kildare Youth Services on a 12 month fixed-term contract on a 5 day week (35 hours), including a 6 month probationary period with a scheduled start date in February, 2021.
