The successful
candidate will be required to mentor young unemployed individuals on a 1:1 basis in designated locations across County Kildare. S/he will also be required to organise and deliver a personal development programme which will engage participants in group activities.

The successful candidate will have a relevant qualification in Adult Guidance & Counselling and /or Youth / Community Work and have recent experience of working with young adults, preferably aged 18 -25 years. S/he will also have a good knowledge of issues affecting young people e.g. youth unemployment, drug prevention, anti-social behaviour, youth mental health, possess a knowledge of supports available locally to the young unemployed and have the ability to communicate with young people and understand appropriate youth work interventions.

S/he will be a self-starter, prepared to work flexibly and have a current full driving licence.
A full time fixed term contract for a period up to 31 December 2022 will be offered to the successful candidate with salary at negotiable with experience within a scale of €34,360 to €39,166. Garda vetting will apply to this position.
