Limerick Social Service Council Ltd aims to promote the dignity and growth of individuals, families and groups in the Limerick city and county area. The work of the Centre is carried out by a dedicated team of over 90 staff and dedicated teams of volunteers, through a range of individual services ranging from support for pre-school children to elderly people.
Applications are invited for the following roles:
ABC Start-Right Community Mothers
(Part time – 20 hours per week)
(2 Posts – 2 Years Fixed Term Contracts)
The ABC Start Right Community Mothers will be part of the Community Wraparound Team and will work closely with the Community Wraparound Coordinators to plan, deliver and review their work. The Programme aims to support all new parents in the model area, through joint working within the Community Wraparound Programme. Antenatal engagement with parents is one of the primary objectives of the Programme, to ensure that parents have clearly identified supports prior to birth, with practical support, advice and mentoring available for up to one year post-natally.
The successful candidate shall report directly to the Community Mothers Co-Ordinator at Limerick Social Service Council Ltd.
Applicants for this post must have:
Relevant experience in a similar role in the community is desirable.
Ability to engage and build positive relationships with parents/families.
Ability to engage with a range of statutory and voluntary bodies.
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and networking skills.
Full clean Driving License is essential.
Garda Vetting will apply.
The successful candidate will be required to be flexible with regards to working hours.
