Respond! are pleased to invite applications for the position of  Acting Programme Leader and Education Coordinator (Part-time) located at High Park, Drumcondra, Dublin 9

Job Purpose: Under the direction of the Head of Knowledge Department and as part the wider Knowledge Department Team the person will be responsible for proactively marketing and planning for a range of academic and professional qualifications accredited by QQI and others and delivered by Respond! College.

Core Duties & Responsibilities:    

Marketing the BA in Housing and Community Studies (BAHCS), Certificate in Community Studies and other related courses.
Timetabling
Planning the content and delivery of modules in the BAHCS
Coordination and preparation of handbooks, examination, assignment and presentation material
Working closely with the Head of Knowledge Department to ensure programmes conform to best practice as per QQI expectations
Coordinating in house training with the Head of Knowledge Department
Dealing with other providers and external regulatory authorities as appropriate
Any other duties as dictated by College QA guidelines and as instructed by Head of Knowledge Department and wider Senior Management Team.

The successful candidate will have:

Relevant postgraduate qualification
Capable of working on own initiative
Experience of  both marketing and academic administration in a third level setting
A demonstrated capacity to work under pressure, multi task and achieve tight deadlines.
Familiarity with social inclusion and second chance education initiatives
Excellent conceptual and analytic skills with an ability to think in broad concepts as well as having attention to detail
Excellent people person, open to direction and suggestions.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong proactive approach
Professional communication, organisational, interpersonal skills including excellent presentation skills
Strong self-starter with ability to initiate work and manage performance to fulfil responsibilities and meet deadlines.
High energy, positive, “can-do” attitude and high degree of initiative.
Collaborative work style and commitment to getting the job done. Excels in a fast pace, community environment.
Computer literate including proficiency in the MS Office suite
The successful candidate will need to show reasonable flexibility in relation to  working hours to meet the needs of the role
A full driver’s licence and full use of a car is essential
Successful candidate will undergo a Garda Vetting Procedure.

Terms: Fixed-term – 16 hours per week
