Job Title:    Communications & Business Development Officer (part-time)

Hours of work:    20 hours per week
Salary    €15,000 per annum (based on a full-time equivalent salary of €28,000)
Job Purpose:    To manage the communications marketing and business development activities for  Carmichael Centre so as to:

Improve the awareness of the Centre’s work
Position Carmichael Centre as the leading provider of supports to charities social enterprises
Strengthen the Centre’s relationships with its Resident Members, service users, funders and supporters.

This is to be achieved by employing a variety of marketing means e.g. social media, events and relationship development and by marketing and promoting the Centre in a cost efficient way.

Key Responsibilities:    

Main duties:

Develop and manage communications and business development plans and budgets
Plan, organize and attend marketing, promotion, business development, communication and fundraising events
Develop and grow CCVG’s corporate and supporter relationships
Develop the content and layout of the Carmichael Centre Quarterly Newsletter
Work with all department managers on marketing & communications for each department of Carmichael Centre i.e. Marketing & Promotions, Advertising, Budgets, Marketing Materials
Support the Carmichael Centre Board Marketing and Communications Sub-committee and provide activity reports to the Committee Chairperson
Manage and maintain the Centre’s Website
Maintain and update Carmichael Centre’s presence on Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, LinkedIn and other relevant social media
Develop, maintain and promote the Carmichael Centre KnowledgeNET micro site
Assist the management of Carmichael Centre with print media and radio PR activities
Manage relationships with suppliers such as web developer, print and PR companies.
Manage Google Analytics monitoring and reporting for Carmichael Centre web sites
Represent Carmichael Centre at external networking events where required
Provide Carmichael Centre Resident Members with social media advice and assistance
