Midas Technologies is hiring a Data Architect on behalf of a client. The successful candidate will have the skills and education as outlined below. Some of the responsibilities: Determines database structural requirements by analysing client operations, applications, and programming; reviewing objectives with clients; evaluating current systems. Develops database solutions by designing proposed system; defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, security, back-up, and recovery specifications. Maintains database performance by identifying and resolving production and application development problems; calculating optimum values for parameters; evaluating, integrating, and installing new releases; completing maintenance; answering user questions. Collaborate with system architects, software architects, design analysts, and others to understand business or industry requirements. Provide necessary training to users.

Skills Requirements

BS degree in Computer Science or related field. 10+ years of experience in a similar role. Operational expertise in the use of SQL/Oracle/Sybase/Versant. Development of large scale, complex data architectures (design, maintenance, security). Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in leading and mentoring technical staff in the development and usage of data architectures and solutions. Knowledge of Enterprise Systems and Business Objects.
