Employability Skills Programme Coordinator / Trainer – Central Remedial Clinic – Clontarf, Dublin

Specified Purpose Contract – Subject to CDETB Funding

The Coordinator is based in our Training & Development Centre in Clontarf. The overall aim of the centre is to provide education and rights based support services for people with disabilities. This position represents an exciting opportunity to have a dual role of coordinating and training delivery, with a team who are committed to supporting people with a disability to live self-determined lives as active citizens.

To do this you will need to be familiar with the principles of New Directions Policy and tools such as Person Centred Planning, Self Advocacy, Community Mapping and building Community Links.

Candidates for this position should have:

a relevant 3rd level qualification(e.g. Social Studies, Education, Training, Management)
a minimum of 2 years experience of coordinating a work-team is desirable
experience in working with adults who have a disability
a track record of meeting tight deadlines
knowledge of running a QQI Certification System
excellent organisational and IT skills
excellent written and spoken English
a commitment to the empowerment of people with disabilities and have a rights based approach

Candidates will be expected to work outside of normal day service hours, when necessary. It must be clearly demonstrated in your CV and supporting statement how you meet the required skills, competencies and knowledge for the post.

Salary Scale:  Clerical Grade V €40,209-€48,496 per annum pro-rata.  Full-time 37 hours per week.
