PART TIME INFORMATION OFFICER POSITION
Dublin 8 and Bluebell Citizens Information Service is currently seeking to recruit an Information Officer.
Key tasks for the post include the direct delivery of information, advice, advocacy and referral services, and liaison with other service providers – statutory and voluntary.
Excellent communication skills, a good level of computer literacy and a Leaving Certificate and/or equivalent of education are required. Completion of the Information Providers Program will be a distinct advantage. Experience of working in a busy information environment is desirable.
This is a part time permanent position (17.5 hours per week, 7 hours on Monday, 7 hours on Tuesday and 3.5 hours on either Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, day to be negotiated).
Salary scale: €29,821-€42,659, pro rata for part-time staff. It is anticipated that new entrants to the Citizens Information Service will be appointed on the 1st point of the scale. Incremental credit, should it be awarded, will be based on previous relevant experience as set out on application form.
A panel will be formed of qualified candidates from which temporary and permanent, part-time and full time Information Posts which arise within the next six months will be filled should vacancies arise in this period. Posts will be located in the Dublin 8 and Bluebell area.
