Threshold Training Network, Tallaght, Dublin 24 provides training and education and social inclusion services to people with mental health difficulties to support them in becoming more active in the community and workforce. A core service is the provision of training of a QQI level 3 accredited ‘Certificate in Employability Skills’. We are now inviting proposals from suitably qualified individuals to establish a training panel for 2016 in the following modules:
Communications
Computer literacy and Internet Skills
Application of numbers
Personal effectiveness
Customer Services
Activation of the training panel will commence in January 2016 and will remain in place until December 2016
Selection Criteria for the training panel membership will be based on:
Experience and knowledge of the subject area(s)
Experience and knowledge of QQI or similar accreditation (module descriptors, assessment techniques, administration and record handling), teaching methods and classroom management
Integrating mental health recovery principles into the subject matter, WRAP certification desirable
A recognised teaching/ training qualification and or experience in the field of Community Education
A commitment to person centred training and the ability to work from a non- discriminatory perspective
Successful applicants will be required to provide two references from organisations for which they have carried out similar work.
