Description
The College of Engineering & Informatics now wishes to recruit an outstanding individual to a full-time lecturer-above-the-bar position within the Discipline of Information Technology. The successful candidate will actively contribute to the University?s strategic vision for ICT, and will participate in research, teaching, student project supervision, and programme administration across a complimentary portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate ICT programmes. Research contribution is of fundamental importance in the role. The new appointee will be expected to attract R&D funding and to apply for major funding awards such as the SFI Investigators Programme and the European Research Council (ERC) Grant programmes. The appointee must be capable of acting as principal scientific investigator on large-scale externally funded projects and will be expected to provide leadership and research supervision to the members of their research group.
Skills Requirements
A primary degree in computer science, computer engineering or a closely related discipline; Normally, a PhD in degree in computer science, computer engineering or a closely related discipline; A number of years of post-doctoral experience in computer science/engineering within a research or industrial context; See Info Pack for Further Details
