Description

Applications are invited from motivated and talented individuals for an appointment as a permanent Lecturer in the School of Natural Sciences at NUI Galway. Applications from candidates with an internationally competitive research and teaching background in Plant Ecology are welcome. Candidates should have a strong foundation in basic and/or applied aspects of terrestrial plant ecology with an emphasis on field-based research.

Skills Requirements

BSc or equivalent in Botany/Plant Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science or cognate discipline Normally, a PhD or equivalent in Botany/Plant Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science or cognate discipline with a focus on plant ecology/field-based research. Experience of teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including formal lecturing. Recent peer-reviewed research publications in a field of plant ecology commensurate with experience.
