Engineering company specialising in the supply of equipment to the meat industry require a Design Engineer. Duties will include: Project management, including proposal drawings, customer liaison, site surveys, detail drawings, installation drawings and organisation, project overview, Operation & Maintenance Manuals, CADCAM nesting for laser cutting, Site visits to supervise / view installations. Experience required: The ideal candidate will have a minimum 4 years experience in the design of conveyor systems and their support steel structure. An understanding and knowledge of mechanical engineering principles is essential, both in theory and in practice. Initially working alongside senior engineers, gradually assuming more responsibility and managing own projects. Skills Required: AutoCAD. Solid Works / 3-D Drawing. Engineering qualification, ideally mechanical or structural engineering. Word Processing / Spreadsheets. Technical qualification: Ideally mechanical or structural engineering. Personal Characteristics: Can work independently or as part of a team; Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines; Able to communicate efficiently with customers, colleagues and suppliers; Residing within reasonable commuting distance from Dundalk.
