Description
We are looking to recruit an experienced Office / Programme Administrator to join our team on a fixed term 6 month contract with the possibility for an extension. Based in Cork, EIL INTERCULTURAL LEARNING is an Irish “not for profit” organisation that provides intercultural learning opportunities through study abroad, volunteer abroad, language training, travel awards, group educational programmes, and other cultural immersion activities for over 1,500 people each year.
General Summary
The position has two distinct roles: (1) Office Administrator and (2) Programme Administrator.
Office Administrator
As Office Administrator you will be entrusted with the responsibility to ensure all organisational aspects of the office run smoothly. In addition to acting as the face of the organisation through managing the office phones and greeting visitors you will be tasked with conducting administrative duties such as
Organising office supplies
Negotiating rates with suppliers
Organising calendars
Managing the supply and maintenance of office equipment.
Supervising and mentoring Interns
Working across many functions you will be required to provide support to the CEO and COO as well as working closely with all senior staff members in the organisation.
Programme Administrator
As Programme Administrator you will assist in all aspects of design, promotion, selection and implementation of the EIL Travel Awards programme. This will include functions such as:
Liaising with partner organisations to collate programme details
Updating and maintaining the relevant section of the website
Organising travel and flight arrangements for participants
Assisting in event planning and organisation for the programme
Planning and assisting implementation of a social media campaign to promote the awards
Coordination of logistical and practical support for participants while on their programme.
Collecting and collating participant feedback on programme experience
Requirements
Have at least 3 years experience as an office administrator
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities at once
Willingness to take on new challenges
Customer focused and friendly
Must be a problem solver
Flexible to work individually or as part of a team
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Must be a self starter and willing to take ownership of the role.

Salary
The Gross Annual Salary for this position will be €25,000 (pro-rata 6 months = €481 per week) Payment is on a weekly basis direct to the employee’s bank account. A PRSA pension contribution of 4% of gross salary also applies provided employees makes a contribution to the pension themselves.

Location: EIL Offices in Cork city
Duration: 6 months (Extension dependant on performance)
Office hours: 9am to 5.30pm. Occasional evening and weekend work will be required
