Description

The successful candidate to this position will report to the Community Services Manager and will have responsibility for the assessment of individual service user needs within a designated group and the development and delivery of community and centre based programmes. The programmes may include independent living, personal development and occupational and leisure activities, within the context of a person centred ethos. The post will have a specific focus on developing employment and community-based opportunities for individual service users. While the post will initially be centre-based, it is envisaged that it will become primarily community based. Applicants should have an appropriate Third Level qualification in the field of Social Care, or Community Work. The post holder must have experience of working with people with mental health issues and a commitment to Recovery focused services. Excellent communication skills and the ability to implement individual programmes is also required.
