Description
We are currently looking for an experienced Support Engineer to join our IT operations team. This role would suit a motivated, process driven professional, who wishes to fast track their career and develop their skill base. Reporting directly to the Technical Support Manager the Technical Support Agent will be responsible for providing technical and network problem resolution to end-users (customers) by guiding them through step-by-step solutions over the phone. Solutions include, but are not limited to, resolving username and password problems, uninstalling/reinstalling basic software applications, verifying proper hardware and software set up, assisting with navigating around application menus and troubleshooting email issues. Support will be provided by clearly communicating technical solutions in a user-friendly, professional manner. Representatives will perform related work as required.
Skills Requirements
Requirements: Degree/Diploma in an IT discipline. Experience in working in a Service Desk environment. The ability to provide first line support for hardware and software issues. Strong written and Verbal communication skills. comfortable dealing direct with End-users when required. Extensive experience working with some/all of the following: Windows XP/Windows 7, Office, LAN, WAN, VPN, Windows 2003/2008 & Active Directory. VMware Experience.Windows MCSA / MCITP.Must have fluent English.
