The Role
What are you doing now?
Managing a creative technology education programme in the formal or informal education system in Ireland.
From a youth work education background with experience of the EdTech and / or the creative technologies fields with practical knowledge of creative learning models.
Experienced running a TechSpace and the Adobe Youth Voices (AYV) programme in a formal or informal setting.
OR
You are self motivated, capable of working with little support, and passionate about technology and how it can transform lives through access to education.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will live and breathe Camara Ireland’s vision and mission for Ireland. They will advocate Camara Ireland’s unique social enterprise offering across a variety of sectors and platforms.
The TechSpace Programme Coordinator role is multifaceted and the candidate will be responsible for managing the TechSpace Programme, a national network throughout the Republic of Ireland. The network is formed of TechSpace Clusters in geographic regions.
In addition, the role will have responsibility for all aspects of:
Programme Management: planning, managing and recruiting new sites, software distribution, evaluation, reporting and the annual renewal of the programme.
Training Management: as the Lead Trainer you will coordinate the efforts of TechSpace training team including the logistics and delivery of training and certification.
Programme Development: contribute to the development of existing and new programmes and their roll – out to the TechSpace network of sites.
Community Engagement: ; build and engage a network of Cluster Coordinators, educators and young people.
Requirements
Skills / Knowledge / Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years experience facilitating innovative programmes through an annual cycle in a formal or youth work education setting.
Motivated self – starter to take ownership of and drive the TechSpace Programme into the next phase of growth.
Proven track record of conceiving, producing and implementing projects.
Creative thinker and problem solver with the ability to be resourceful, think quickly, adeptly and to adapt.
Experienced trainer in formal or youth work setting.
In depth knowledge of delivering creative learning models of education
Strong technical skills across hardware, creative software, media making/STEAM equipment and the Adobe suite of products.
Foster strong relationships with internal and external partners as well as excellent organisational, time management and interpersonal skills.
Comfortable working without routine supervision and taking the initiative within the guidelines of an organisational strategy.
Strong attention to detail with ability to manage large projects and exhibition events.
Strong communication skills to grow the network of sites, community of educators and stakeholders.
Ability to do regular travel within Ireland
Thrive in a fast growing and changing organisation that requires flexibility and versatility.
Articulate, persuasive, passionate and can be the ‘voice of the educator’ across the organisation and to our partners.
Desirable
Knowledge of the formal and youth work education sectors in Ireland.
An established network of contacts in the formal and youth work education sectors.
Prior experience of the TechSpace Programme and / or Adobe Youth Voices.
