Description
A vacancy exists for a designer or trainee designer based at our Ashbourne Site. The successful applicant will be required to create designs and raise product specifications to meet customer requirements. Team working and good communication are an essential part of this role as you will be supporting a range of functions including external sales, production and customer service. Previous experience with an appropriate CAD package would be beneficial however full training will be given to the successful applicant. A full clean driving licence is required. Duties will include: Ensuring that all design related specifications are raised on the local business system; Interaction with other departments to ensure that all new products are fully aligned with manufacturing requirements; Provide technical support to adjacent disciplines; Maintain an up to date working database of all local design drawings; Creating structural designs for identified customers to a defined level e.g. using CAD standards or established customer styles.
