Description
The School of Nursing and Midwifery within Trinity College Dublin seeks to appoint an Associate Professor in Childrens Nursing. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of post registration experience as a childrens nurse and will hold a PhD. Candidates will have a proven track record of research accomplishment and be a skilled educator of childrens nursing students. Key to the role will be the ability and the desire to provide leadership in the strategic development of childrens nursing nationally. The successful candidate will be expected to be knowledgeable of a broad range of contemporary childrens nursing practice and research. He / She will also be expected to attract research funding and achieve scholarly publication. The Associate Professor will undertake teaching, research, research supervision, scholarly publication and academic administration.
Skills Requirements
The Associate Professor will: Engage in high-level research activity in the School, with clinical partners and internationally, and will be actively seeking funding for same. Contribute to published research output especially in journals of high standing Develop and sustain a world-class research programme in an area of Childrens Nursing. Provide research-led teaching in Childerns Nursing to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
