Limerick Youth Service in association with Limerick & Clare Education and Training Board is now looking to recruit suitably qualified individuals for the following role:
Community Training Centre General Learning Instructor/Tutor (Temporary)
Community Training Centres provide education and training for early school leavers aged 16-21 in an out of school setting. The Tutor will be responsible for delivering a broad range of modules leading to QQI Level 3-4 Awards on the National Framework of Qualifications which meet the needs of disadvantaged early school leavers.
The successful candidate will have:
Third Level or equivalent qualification on National Qualification Framework.
Proven experience of working with young people in a non-formal learning context;
Previous experience of delivering QQI Levels 3,4 & 5
Ability to deliver flexible training options and to provide guidance to new and existing learners in preparation for future learning and work opportunities.
Good IT, communication and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities will include:
Training, assessing and monitoring of learner course work to QQI level standards;
Reporting to the Centre Manager on a day-to-day basis;
Direct supervision of learners;
Assisting with the planning, development and implementation of CTC services within the Training Standards System;
