The role
This is an exciting new role in TU Dublin SU with extensive opportunities to participate in and deliver some of the core services that we provide to our student members at this significant period in our establishment as Irelands largest student Union.
This role is to provide administration support for the Director of Academic Affairs and Welfare Manager (DAA&W) & the work of the VPs for Education and Welfare & Equality and to assist with the coordination of the Advice Service. Working hours are from 9am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday however it is important to note that flexibility around these core hours will be required on occasions to support the needs of the business

Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative support for the Director and the Advice team in terms of the planning and coordination of work activities, meetings and events.
Assist with the organisation of information and awareness campaigns led by the Vice Presidents such as Mental Health & Wellness Weeks, SHAG Week, Class Rep Recruitment etc. Tasks will include budgeting, planning and coordination, risk assessments, liaison with external and internal clients and promotion.
Conduct research to inform the development of policies and procedures in the welfare and education areas.

The successful candidate will have:
Fluent in verbal and written English.

Qualification
Educated to degree level or equivalent
Experience
Essential:
At least 2 years’ current experience in a busy administrative role
Project development and coordination
Excellent IT skills are required with Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and CRM databases/systems.
Working in a team environment
Desirable:
Previous experience working with students and/or young people
Ability to support and motivate colleagues
A working knowledge of the third level education sector
Proficient in G-Suite
