Your opportunity to play a creative role in the provision of training for early school leavers (16 – 21yrs) in Dublin’s north inner city.
Lourdes Youth & Community Services Ltd (LYCS) is a community development organisation which operates through four programmes of work: Community Training Centre, Childcare, Youth and Adult Education Programme.
Community Training Centre
Full-Time Instructor: Fixed Term Contract
Hospitality, Customer Service and Personal Development Instructor
(Full-Time – 35 hours)
Your role will be to:
Work with a team to develop and provide training and education programmes at FETAC Levels 3 and 4.
Develop innovative methodologies to recruit, involve and support early school leavers in the CTC.
Work in partnership with a wide range of agencies.
You will be expected to be able to deliver FETAC Level 3 and 4 modules in the following areas:
Personal and Interpersonal Skills
Customer Service
Work Experience
Retail Sales Techniques
Room Servicing
Nutrition and Healthy Options
Handling Food Hygienically
Prospective candidates will need to have: relevant qualifications, previous experience of working with young people and delivering certified training; working in a community based environment, and be willing to deliver training in an innovative and flexible manner.
Expertise in any of the following would be an advantage: Curriculum Development, English, Maths, CSPE, I.T., Counselling, Youth Work, Career Guidance, Community Development.
Salary is based on a 11 point scale: € 31,652 – € 56,473
The Contract will be for a fixed term (one year).
