INSTRUCTOR/SUPERVISOR TRAINING SERVICE (DAY)

BRAY, CO. WICKLOW
3 Full-time Fixed Term Posts (1 Year)
&
1 Part-time Fixed Term Post (1 Year) – 28 hours per week
Bray, Co. Wicklow

The Training Service supports people in a variety of activities such as rehabilitate training, special skills training and various employment activities. The focus is on the growth and development. Listening and responding to the needs of service-users is the hallmarks of our quality service. Annually we ask every person to tell us about their hopes and dreams for the future and their needs for the present. We then use CQL’s (Council on Quality and Leadership) Personal Outcome Measures as a tool to develop a person driven services.

A minimum HETAC Level 7 qualification in Training or Education, Social Care, Psychology or other relevant social science area.
A minimum of 1 years’ post qualification experience of working with people with an intellectual disability
Experience and skills in facilitating group work and community participation, whilst supporting clients in achieving their goals and priorities
Experience in the development, delivery and implementation of accredited courses e.g. FETAC and Oxford Cambridge Reward (OCR)
Knowledge of all relevant legislation and HIQA Standards and a proven ability to implement standards and regulations.
An ability to work on own initiative,  as lone working and as part of a team
Experience working with people with complex needs in a variety of different situations
Experience in dealing with responsive behaviour in a positive manner
Have excellent organisation and communication skills
Be enthusiastic, energetic and creative
Excellent personal & interpersonal skills
Excellent IT skills and report writing skills.
Interest in activities and supports in the community
An ability to deal with confidential information in a discreet and responsible manner.
