Description
Applications are invited for an appointment as Lecturer (Above the Bar) in Biomedical Engineering (Biomaterials) at NUI Galway. The new appointee will be required to develop an outstanding research programme in Biomedical Engineering, working with colleagues across the University s academic disciplines and with the CÚRAM research centre. Candidates with research expertise in the areas of biomaterials and tissue engineering would be particularly welcome. The new appointee will be expected to attract R&D funding in fundamental and applied research areas, and to apply for major funding awards such as the SFI Investigators Programme and the European Research Council (ERC) Grant programmes. The new appointee will be expected to disseminate their work through peer-reviewed journals, conferences and workshops.
Skills Requirements
Applicants will be expected to possess: A primary degree in biomedical engineering or a closely related discipline; Normally, a PhD in biomedical engineering or a closely related discipline; Please see Information Pack for full list of requirements of post.
