Description

Applications are invited for a permanent position as Lecturer (above the bar) in Philosophy, UCD School of Philosophy. This is an academic teaching and research post in philosophy. The area of specialisation (AOS) is open. The School of Philosophy at UCD has strengths in both the continental and analytic styles of philosophical inquiry, and so welcomes candidates who are able to engage constructively with both traditions. The School also welcomes candidates whose on-going research demonstrates the capacity to engage with the history of philosophy and/or with contemporary philosophical concerns. In addition, since the School will have teaching needs in the areas of aesthetics and medieval philosophy, candidates are invited to highlight any research and teaching strengths in those areas if applicable.
