Description
Applications are invited for an appointment as Lecturer (Above the Bar) in Informatics at NUI Galway. The new appointee will be required to develop an outstanding research programme in Informatics, specialising in aspects of data analytics such as: Linked Data, Big Data and Large-scale Distributed Systems. He/She will be expected to work with colleagues across the University s academic disciplines and specifically within the Insight Research Institute. The new appointee will be expected to attract R&D funding and to apply for major funding awards such as the SFI Investigators Programme and the European Research Council (ERC) Grant programmes. He/She must be capable of acting as principal scientific investigator on large-scale externally funded projects and will be expected to provide leadership and research supervision to the members of his/her research group.
Skills Requirements
