University College Dublin is seeking to appoint a temporary 2 year Lecturer (below the bar) in Astrophysics in the UCD School of Physics. The successful candidate will deliver and coordinate lecture modules in Astronomy and be involved in laboratory and field work supporting the UCD BSc degree in Physics with Astronomy and Space Science and the MSc in Space Science & Technology. The candidate will also supervise graduate students within the Space Science group. The UCD Space Science group has an active research programme in the study of gamma-ray bursts using space and ground-based experiments. The successful candidate will perform research which complements the existing observational astrophysics research activities in the Space Science group within the School of Physics, leading to the publication of peer-reviewed papers.
