Applications are invited for one three-year appointment as Lecturer (below the bar) in Chinese Studies, UCD School of Languages, Cultures and Linguistics. Applicants must have a PhD in Chinese Studies, a commitment to developing a teaching and research programme, and relevant teaching experience. This is a pioneering position in that the School intends to engage in Chinese studies, particularly in the field of intercultural dialogues between Europe and China. The successful candidate will be responsible for devising a Chinese-European Studies programme along these lines and aligning both with the Schools strategic plans to expand its activities and with UCDâ??s globalisation strategy. It requires a proactive and imaginative scholar who combines academic qualities with creative thinking and who is willing to initiate an innovative teaching and research programme and to act as co-ordinator.
