Applications are invited for an appointment as a Lecturer fixed term in School of Natural Sciences at NUI Galway, to commence on 1st January 2016. The successful candidate will have a PhD in biochemistry or in a related area, with expertise in the development and delivery of science communication activities. Candidates with experience of teaching undergraduate and postgraduate modules and with first/senior author research publications are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will contribute to research, lectures, tutorials and practicals in the School of Natural Sciences. The successful candidate will have some experience of teaching and research associated administration and will contribute to administration in the Discipline and School. The appointee should have good interpersonal skills and be prepared to collaborate with his/her colleagues within the School, University, nationally and internationally.

Skills Requirements

BSc or equivalent in Biochemistry or related area. Normally, a PhD or equivalent in Biochemistry or in a related area. Experience of teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including formal lecturing. Recent peer-reviewed research publications commensurate with experience.
