Description

The post has three components: Clinical, Teaching and Research, and time is set aside for each. The appointment which is available from 13th July 2015 will be offered on a one-year fixed-term contract basis until the 10th July 2016. The post will support, coordinate and deliver the clinical teaching and assessment of undergraduate students in the School of Medicine. The appointee will be expected to contribute to the ongoing review of the curriculum. At least one third of the time will be contributed to the teaching programme. The appointment will have a formal teaching and clinical commitment. Clinical duties will be based within St Patricks Mental Health Services. It is expected that the appointee will pursue a research interest.

Skills Requirements

Registration with the Irish Medical Council prior to commencement in post, prior to 13th July, 2015 (essential). Qualifications: MRCPsych or a qualification in medicine equivalent thereto; Completed Basic Specialist Training in Psychiatry or 3 years equivalent post medical experience; Curriculum development and teaching/lecturing experience (desirable).
