Description

The Skills Foundation Programme aims to facilitate students in personal development and in sampling a wide range of vocational options. As part of a team the Instructor is responsible for developing the skills, knowledge, confidence and resources that are necessary to access employment, higher training and options in the wider community. Learning is fostered through a combination of projects and activities in response to the identified needs of each individual and practical skills are sampled in a range of activities. The ideal applicant will have an appropriate qualification in Education, Psychology or a related field, together with at least two years relevant teacher/training experience. They will have a Paedagogical Qualification such as Train the Trainer. Experience of the delivering and assessing modules to Fetac /QQI standards is desirable as well as experience in and ability to deliver IT Applications modules would be an advantage.A panel will be formed from these interview

Skills Requirements

They will also require excellent facilitation, communication and organisational skills coupled with an ability to develop and implement training modules on an individual basis. Some prior experience of working with people with disabilities though not essential would be a distinct advantage.
