Training and Learning Manager – Young Social Innovators – Dublin

Young Social Innovators is to the forefront of bringing innovation learning and practice to young people in Ireland. Each year some 25,000 teenagers engage in its social innovation programmes.

This position is for someone who has a passion for advancing social innovation education, sees the benefits for young people and for educators as well as the bigger picture which helps create a fairer, more equal and inclusive society.

It requires both experience of curriculum development; excellent and innovative training and resource development for trainers; and knowledge of the education and youth sector context.

This position will pay particular attention to ensuring quality design, development, delivery and impact of all training and education programmes delivered by YSI.

Role reports to the CEO of Young Social Innovators

Areas of responsibility

This work will include:

Development, coordination and management of the work of Young Social Innovators YSI Training and Education Team and Panelists
Development of YSI’s Educators’ Training Programme, Accreditation and Certification
Contribution to our Social Innovation on line Learning Hub; other education resources and content to support educators and young people
Ensuring quality delivery of education, training, support and relationships with participating groups
Direct training provision and  presentations to key education stakeholders, trainers and educators
Building alliances and maintain partnerships and relationships with key stakeholders in the youth and education sectors North and South.
Contributing and collaborating on areas such as strategic planning, as requested by CEO.

Experience and skill requirements:

Expertise in Training, Facilitation and Development of teachers
Deep understanding and passion for  the role and benefits of social and civic innovation in youth development and education
Quality curriculum and resource development in the second level education context
Worked on education initiatives /  programmes
Excellent resource writing skills essential; blended learning resource development an advantage
Excellent team player and builder
Full driving licence
Hons degree in Education and/or Masters qualification

This role covers all of Ireland; travel will be sometimes required at Saturday training (certain times of the year).

Salary commensurate with  experience.
