Training Coordinator

The Roscommon Women’s Network in association with GRETB wishes to recruit a Training Coordinator for RWN Training Services  in Castlerea, Co Roscommon.  This Local Training Initiative (LTI) program focuses on supporting learners to achieve a major award on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) as a route to sustainable employment.  Roscommon Women’s Network (RWN) is a Community project which supports women and their families in the County Roscommon.

The Training Coordinator will report to the RWN Project Manager and the Voluntary Management Committee to plan, deliver , monitor, and evaluate and develop

RWN Training Services.

Fixed Term Contract: 12 months – Hours per Week: 35

The Successful Candidate should have:

Excellent communication skills, be self-motivated and the ability to engage with learners who are long term unemployed particularly 18 to 30 year old age group.
Third level qualification in teaching e.g. JEB (Joint Examining Board) or NUI Diploma in Training & Education or equivalent is essential
A good understanding and knowledge of National Qualifications Framework System of accreditation through QQI/GRETB
Previous experience in delivery of FETAC/QQI modules particularly in IT and Retail
Experience of Lesson Plan preparations to QQI standard
Working experience of Micro Soft Suite 10 and Windows 7.
Experience in effective supervision of people and ability to co-ordinate training, events and other activities.
Ability to work on own initiative and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
The ability to be flexible and work effectively and cooperatively in a multi-facetted team.
Experience of working in a team which involves close collaboration with non-training personnel and volunteers.
Excellent relationship building skills and team working skills
Co-operate with the RWN Finance administrator in maintaining an effective and efficient financial and accounts system in line with GRETB and  RWN policies and procedures
Supervise and assist in the preparation of financial returns for wages and  administration and Individual Learning and Training Plans for learners
Maintaining appropriate records in both manual and computerised format in line with RWN and GRETB procedures
