Description

The Asset Operations function within Gas Networks Ireland is responsible for delivering capital construction projects in the field in the safest, most efficient and cost effective manner, executing field work safely and efficiently in support of maintenance and repair of network assets, and operating the Transmission and Distribution networks safely and reliably. The Construction Delivery team within Asset Operations is responsible for the on site execution of work. Reporting to the Major Projects Construction Manager, the Quantity Surveyor has responsibility for managing financial aspects, contract and administrative activities relating to construction works on major projects. While the role is based in Cork, occasional working from the Dublin office will be required.

Skills Requirements

Proven technical competence is essential/ Quantity Surveying degree or other relevant qualification required.Minimum of 5 Years relevant experience. Experience in management of relevant construction contracts. Specific experience of working on Gas and/or Utility Projects is a distinct advantage. Experience of working in a quality management system such as ISO 9001 ? Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Package, Oracle and Maximo. ?
