Description

An Electrical Engineer is required to oversee extrusion capability at the Boran Plastic Packaging. The position will involve installation and running of existing and new extrusion technology and also the planning process and quality control. The engineer will be responsible for the management and running of extrusion and new product, capability and new technology trials. Liaising customers and suppliers on customer requirements with regards to dimensions, performance criteria, materials etc., and liaising with production. This position also involves project management of cross functional teams with responsibility for introduction of new equipment / technologies/ new processes in the extrusion area. The role will involve managing control stock, monitor reordering levels and plan production in cost effective manner. It will also involve responsibility to complete essential maintenance, plan and implement periodic scheduled maintenance.

Skills Requirements

Manufacturing & hands on experience in extrusion &plastics material knowledge essential. Experience in polymer materials & testing essential. Good working knowledge of production R&D & quality system requirements. Ability to effectively manage a simultaneous range of diverse activities. Self-starter with good motivational/inter-personal skills, practical level-headed individual with strong technical ability. Advanced level in spoken and written English essential.
