Project Worker – Sankalpa Addiction Service – Dublin

To provide a low threshold community based, addiction treatment and relapse prevention programme, which supports individuals to address their addiction.

Responsibilities will include:
Processing referrals, admissions and discharges to both residential rehabilitation sites as per referral and assessment procedure
Working as part of a team delivering an addiction treatment model through CBT and CRA, MI, SMART Recovery, NDRIC protocols, the National Drugs Strategy and other tools; all of which are underpinned by trauma informed practice
Engaging with and building a professional trusting relationship with service users; treating individuals with dignity and respect in order to work within the ethos and values of Sankalpa
Familiarity with the use of CRM platforms e.g., salesforce
Developing and facilitating a wide range of therapeutic groups all of which will be reviewed regularly
Facilitating the induction of full and part time volunteers, student placements and CE placement workers in order to ensure the proficient delivery of the service and to be a key participant in the induction and ongoing training of new full and part time staff members and/or graduates
Working in conjunction with the Head of Services , maintaining positive and mutually beneficial relationships with relevant external agencies in both the voluntary and statutory sector, and to effectively liaise with a range of service providers both voluntary and statutory (referrals, mental health, occupational therapy and so on) in order to establish or improve services available to service users
Performing tasks related to the day to day running and maintenance of an effective service such as – health and safety, hygiene, maintaining premises and ensuring a welcoming and friendly environment is provided
Participating in a care and case management model within Sankalpa e.g. assessment, key working, care planning, transferring of files and sharing of information internally and agreeing handovers to assist service users to progress towards treatment; implementing and reviewing individual support plans and updating CRM platforms as required
Preparing reports, statistics and other information as required by Sankalpa, to adhere to good record keeping guidelines and usage of salesforce, internal case management logs, and Internal IT Systems and carry out administrative and financial procedures in accordance with organisation policies.
Salary will be on HSE band scale commensurate with qualifications and experience
This is a full-time position (39 hours)
