Community Training Centres provide education and training for early school leavers aged 16-21 in an out of school setting. The Instructor/Tutor will be responsible for delivering a range of modules within the QQI Level 4 Catering Award. Modules are designed towards achieving QQI Level 3-4 awards on the NFQ which meet the needs of early school leavers.
The successful candidate will have:
A recognised diploma / trade qualification in Catering or similar discipline.
Experience of working with young people in non-formal settings;
Ability to deliver flexible training options and to provide guidance to new and emerging learners;
Capability to work across a diverse range of projects.
Good IT, communication, and teamwork skills.
At least 2 years proven experience of delivering one or more of the following subjects: Food & Nutrition, Food Hygiene, Kitchen Skills & Short Order Cooking.
Responsibilities will include:
Supervising a Deli project which serves the Restaurant
Training, assessing and monitoring of learner course work to QQI level standards
Reporting to the Centre Manager on a day-to-day basis;
Direct supervision of learners;
Assisting with the planning, development and implementation of CTC services within the Training Standards System;
