Description
Fernhill Golf & Country Club, Carrigaline, Cork are currently recruiting for an experienced Chef to join our team. Reporting to the Head Chef main duties will be: To perform duties as prescribed by the head chef and to carry out the preparation, cooking and presentation of dishes according to specification. To always operate in a clean, hygienic manner, keeping both person and surrounding work areas as clean as possible at all times. To ensure safe and correct use of all equipment. To report any accidents and breakages to the Head Chef. To ensure that wastage is kept to a minimum at all times. Ensure that all food is stored hygienically and in accordance with kitchen departmental procedures. To ensure that all HACCP regulations are adhered to at all times in all areas of the hotel particularly the food production areas. To be flexible with regard to working hours in order to handle any unexpected requirements.
Skills Requirements
The ideal candidate will have: Good team player approach; Have experience in a similar role; Good Knowledge of food handling, food standards and presentation; Good organisational, communication and motivational skills; Good knowledge of HACCP; Fluent spoken English.
