We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and creative chef to assist in the running of our busy kitchen. The Red Door Country House, with its stunning views overlooking Lough Swilly offers a fine dining experience to its customer. It features high quality Irish cuisine, with an emphasis on fresh seafood caught in the local area. We are an AA rosette winning country house that has become a destination for quality dining, afternoon tea and boutique weddings. The successful applicant will have previous experience: Deputising in the Head Chefs absence; Managing a busy kitchen; Participating in planning menus and the utilisation of food surplus; Ordering supplies and monitoring stock.
Skills Requirements
Attention to detail is imperative for this position. The candidate should: Have the ability to work in conjunction with and in absence of the Head Chef; Have the ability to work with and lead an established team of proficient chefs; Have knowledge of all areas of the kitchen; Have excellent knowledge and understanding of HACCP.
Salary: €28,000pa – €33,000pa
