Administration Assistant – St Michael’s House – Dublin

Overall Purpose of Job:
The person appointed will assist with the coordination, development and effective operation/implementation of the administrative functions within a growing and expanding staff education, training and development environment. Grade IIIs are normally assigned specific areas of responsibilities which may change as needs change.

Essential requirements for this post:
Initiative and the ability to take on responsibility and see tasks through to completion
Ability to work with staff in a co-operative and facilitative way

Good organisational skills
Competence in relation to all aspects of Microsoft Office
A committed approach and attitude to work
Level 5 qualification or equivalent
A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position
This post includes but is not limited to the following specific duties:
Assisting with the smooth day-to-day running of the department
Undertaking assigned area thoroughly and competently
Providing back up to the Manager of the SETDD in all areas required

Inputting data to IM systems
Assisting with the organisation and maintenance of education/training/development records
Assisting with QA monitoring and compliance
Assisting staff with any registration procedures
Maintaining files and records as required
Taking an active role in the management of customer care in the department and providing as much assistance as possible to SMH staff, trainers and other key stakeholders
Participating in training or professional development activities if required
Undertaking other duties as required from time to time
