Administration Officer – Young Social Innovators – Dublin

Reports to: Programmes & Finance Manager
Location: 3, Dawson Street, Dublin 2
Role: Full time, permanent

Young Social Innovators is a dynamic not-for-profit organisation. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a strong administrator with events experience. You will be joining a small team with a large reach to young people and educators in Ireland. Over 6,000 young people take on the YSI challenge to BELIEVE IN IT and ACT ON IT on an annual basis. Each year the organisation provides a busy schedule of programmes for young people and educators as well as provincial and national events.

Job purpose:

He/she will work as part of the Programme, Operations and Finance Team and provide administrative, operational support and delivery of short term projects and events across the organisation. Strong and proven project management, coordination, communication and delivery skills will be essential.

The work will require travel throughout Ireland at certain times of the year.

Reporting to: Programmes & Finance Manager

Main Responsibilities

Project Management and support YSI’s busy Event Calendar including planning, coordination, logistics, onsite management, sub-contracting and post event reporting and statistics
Programme & workshop administration, booking and reporting
Tendering & Acquisition
Administration support as required for YSI key functions

Essential Skills and Proven Competencies:

Experience in event management
High proficiency in project management, organisation and budgeting skills
3-5 years+ relevant experience
Highly motivated, ability to multitask and work on own initiative is essential
Excellent written and interpersonal  communication  skills
Relevant IT software experience for planning and data collection
Flexibility and ability and openness to work as part of a team
Management of multiple projects within signed off objectives and budgets
Contract management
Adherence to Performance Management process
