St.Michael’s Youth Project is a community based youth project where young people, volunteers, youth workers and the local community work together to enhance the social, personal and political development of young people. Our work embraces the principles of equality, respect, voluntary participation and quality youth work provision. SMPYP aims to work through a rights based equality framework to effect social change.
Responsibilities will include all aspects of clerical work and updating of financial accounts to include SAGE 50 and TAS books. The ideal candidate will have excellent written/oral communication skills, excellent computer literacy, experience of budgets and financial recording.
Essential skills and experience:
Understanding of community and youth work
Experience of working in the community and voluntary sector a strong advantage
Knowledge of financial administration
Knowledge of SAGE and TAS books
Knowledge of office systems
Excellent IT skills
Excellent communication skills
Excellent organisational skills
Experience of writing funding applications a strong advantage
Good timekeeping
