The Brothers of Charity Services in South Connemara is a community based, person centred service focusing on the needs and abilities of adults with intellectual disabilities. The vision of the service is to support people with intellectual disabilities to achieve a full and valued life in their community.
The role of the Area Manager is to ensure the day to day management of the Bruach Na Mara Adult Services reflects the ethos and vision of the Brothers of Charity Services, and fosters and promotes this vision in their relationships with Service users, their families, staff members, and the wider community. The Area Manager promotes and supports the use of the Irish Language which is the first language of many individuals living in South Connemara.
The Area Manager is responsible for the effective management, development and support of a highly motivated staff team associated with the Bruach Na Mara Services. The successful candidate will liaise and provide direct support to other senior management and will be a proactive member of the West Sector management team participating in the operational and strategic development together with the implementation of the services strategic plan.
Qualifications/Experience:
The successful candidate must hold a nursing qualification, (currently registered with the NMBI) or a
relevant Healthcare Qualification, this is an essential requirement of this post. RNID/RMHN
qualification is an advantage.
Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years management experience in the Health Sector. Candidates should have budgetary/financial, employee relations and team management experience. Candidates must hold a full clean driving licence.
