Assistant Child Support Coordinator – The Playroom Project Women’s Aid Dundalk

The Playroom Project is a Community Creche available to all Children in the Community. We offer Full Day Care, Ecce, CCS and Cets. The Playroom Project Child Support Service specialises in Support for Children who have been or are currently experiencing Trauma. We offer services in addition to Child Care such as Play Therapy, Life Story Work, Direct Work, Rainbows, Safe Hands and Supervised Access Project.

Assistant Child Support Coordinator The Playroom Project Women’s Aid Dundalk

30-39 Hours per week

Duties & Responsibilities:
To understand and advocate for the eliminate of Domestic Violence. To prioritise the welfare of Children attending our service and understand the impact of abuse.

To administer and Coordinate the Child Care Service in line with Policies & Procedures developed by the service and meeting the requirements of relevant funding organisations.
Coordinator and oversee the Childcare Service, including direct service provision and day to supervision of Childcare workers.
Inform workers of policies and procedures in relation to good practice and ensure the development and welfare of children at all times
Implement and develop the curriculum in line with Aistear, Siolta and the Pre School Services Regulations 2016
Working Directly with parents
Over see and have responsibility for the day to day running of the child care service
Liaise with Tusla Early Years Inspectors
Liaise with Louth County Childcare Committee
Liaise with Pobal
Prioritise the waiting lists
Have a good working knowledge of ECCE, CCS & CETS
Must have a thorough understanding of the Pre School Regulations
Reporting to the Child Support Coordinator/ Services Manager

Minimum Requirements:
Fetac Level 6 in Child Care or relevant qualification
Minimum 2 years experience in a Child Care Setting
Excellent Communication Skills

Good time keeping
Commitment to quality

Knowledge and understanding of all aspects of a Child Care Setting and Women’s Aid Dundalk
