Job Role
Reporting to the Clinical Services Manager you will work within an inter-disciplinary school-aged team (6-18) / early services (0-6).
Provide a range of supports to service users in St. Catherine’s SNS and children with moderate ID in community settings.
You will communicate and work in co-operation with members of an inter-disciplinary team and enjoy a high level of professional support in providing an integrated quality service.
Essential:
A recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy approved by the Department of Health and Children. (Overseas qualifications must be validated).
CORU registration (possess on closing date).
An interest in working with individuals with Intellectual Disabilities and Autism.
Excellent IT and communication skills.
Full drivers license.
Desirable:
An interest in working with individuals working with alternative and augmentative communication (AAC).
An interest in working with children with complex medical needs and/or dysphagia.
Knowledge of:
National Policy surrounding Progressing Disability Services (PDS).
Knowledge of the Disability Act 2005.
HIQA requirements for Residential and Respite Services.
Salary: Point 1 of the HSE Basic Speech and Language Therapist payscale.
