Business Development / Projects Manager – Ag Eisteacht – Cork

Ag Eisteacht is a charity based in Cork City. We deliver training to frontline practitioners working in the health, education, social, youth and community sectors in either a professional or voluntary capacity.

We offer a range of training programmes, including Brief Encounters®, How to Argue Better and Ag Eisteacht 4 Business, which are all built on our core values of time, attention and respect. We focus on relational capability as the capacity of people to establish and maintain close relationships, both at home and in the wider community, is a key determinant of health and wellbeing. Since 2001, we have delivered our evidence-based, accredited and evaluated training to over 1,000 frontline workers.

Ag Eisteacht wish to expand their target market and delivery of training services. CEO, Dr Maeve Hurley, has identified a need for an enthusiastic, hardworking and motivated person to fulfil the dual role of Business Development and Projects Manager.

Business Development & Projects Manager:

This employee would:

Support the CEO in the development of strategic plans in order to increase the number of Ag Eisteacht courses commissioned around the country.
Research target markets and organisations to find out what their training needs are, and plan the best way to engage them with Ag Eisteacht’s offerings.
Build new relationships, maintain and develop existing client relationships.
Develop project plans and schedule project timelines.
Manage team resources, assign individual responsibilities and report to CEO on progress.
Coordinate the efforts of team members in order to deliver projects according to plan.
Track project deliverables, monitor and report on progress and obstacles of the project to CEO and ensure timelines are met.
Work with team to develop proposals and marketing strategies to develop customer base.
Attend conferences and meetings where necessary to gain information and build relationships.
Identify new methods, opportunities and plans for business growth.

Candidates require:

A proven track record (minimum of 5 years) in Business Development/Project Management.
A knowledge of the not for profit sector desirable.
A knowledge of the social sector & HSE desirable.
Excellent communication style.
An ability to support, empower and motivate a small team.
Excellent organisational and time management skills
The ability to innovate and come up with new ideas is key, as building new relationships / markets / methods is a fundamental aspect to this role.

This is a full time position. Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
