Care Centre Manager – Christine Buckley Centre for Education & Support

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Manager will be operating on a five-day week basis and will be responsible for the day to day management of the Centre located off Upper Abbey Street in Dublin city centre. The Manager will lead a small team of staff, tutors and volunteers, act as Media spokesperson as a voice for survivors and drive forward the charity’s services to survivors. The Contract is for 35-39 hours per week, subject to negotiation.
The Manager’s role provides the overall running of the service while supervising and supporting a dedicated small team of Project workers and volunteers. The Manager provides leadership to the team to drive and maintain a culture of transparency and excellence while working alongside the Board of Directors to advocate and promote a Survivor focused service that ensures to make clients feel welcome and create a purposeful and caring atmosphere.

EXPERIENCE:
Minimum four year’s experience as a Manager, preferably in a charity, non-profit organisation with trauma informed practice, social work, social care and /or educational sectors.
Excellent Administrative and Cost Control and Organisational skills.
A knowledge of issues relating to policies on safeguarding vulnerable adults, adult mental health as well as issues relating to institutional and other forms of abuse.
Knowledge of public bodies and how Irish Charities are funded and governed.
Experience working with similar vulnerable groups/Trauma informed care and advocacy skills would be an advantage.
Relevant third level qualifications.
SALARY: €50,000 per annum.
