Centre Coordinator – St Michael’s House Services – North Dublin

St. Michael’s House Services is a community based organisation committed to providing a quality service and high standard of living to people with an intellectual disability. We are looking for a Centre Coordinator, with a true interest in making a difference to the lives of people with an intellectual disability.

A vacancy exist for full-time 3 year Centre Coordinator the role will involved managing 2 local centres, these centres provides a specialist service for adults with Intellectual Disability and significant Autism. The service is managed in two locations and provides an individualized web-based service to 9 adults with intellectual disability and significant Autism. The Centre Coordinator will report to the Manager of Autism Services North Region.

This position is based in North Dublin.

Key duties associated with the role:

Responsible for the day to day management of the service with a focus on providing Vocational, Educational and Recreational supports to Service Users.
Be involved in the development of the Centre and the management of two staff teams.
Be responsible for the overall programme planning, providing support to individuals with the focus on development of Individual Plans, Wellbeing Outcomes, and Cosan assessments.

Essential Criteria for Applicants:

Experience of working with adults with intellectual disability and Autism.
Training in Autism specific intervention e.g.  ABA, PECS, TEACCH.
Experience and training in Positive Behaviour Support.
Excellent communication skills.
Experience of report writing
Full Clean Driver’s License

Essential Qualification required:

Hold one of the below qualifications

Diploma/Degree in Applied Social Studies/Social Care
Open Training College National Diploma in Applied Social Studies (Disability).
Degree in Psychology
Degree in Nursing

Desirable Criteria for Applicants:

Basic First Aid
Manual/Patient Handling

Salary Scale: €29993.00 to €44306.00 (depending on relevant experience)
