Chief Executive Officer – Our Lady of Lourdes Community Services Group

Purpose of the CEO Role
The CEO will report to the Chair and Board of OLOL while having overall responsibility for the day to day operations and accountability of the organisation, its 50+ employees and broader voluntary network.
In particular, the CEO will drive the development of OLOL in the key areas of:
Social Enterprise: Work with the Board of Directors to formulate and implement the organisation’s vision, values and strategic business plan to develop OLOL as a social enterprise meeting evolving community and stakeholder needs.
Community Voice: Ensure OLOL is a critical, representative voice for the community locally, regionally and nationally, influencing public opinion and policy in relevant areas of community development and social inclusion.

Community Service:
Ensure OLOL, as an organisation, is flexible, evolving and responsive to the changing needs of the community and its stakeholders, clearly demonstrating the achievement of OLOL strategic objectives, business targets, the value of services provided and the impact of its work for the community and its people.
Organisational Leadership: Provide leadership, direction and support to OLOL management team, employees and volunteers, ensuring they are focused on implementing the strategy of the organisation and meeting the changing needs of the community they serve while developing themselves to realise their personal potential in a positive and rewarding work environment.
Business Excellence: Ensure the organisation engages in best-practice business processes in the key business areas of finance, operations and human resource management while also ensuring full compliance and continuous improvement against charity and other governance requirements in such critical areas as childcare, youth service provision, health & safety etc.
Stakeholder Relationships: Explore and develop key agency and government stakeholder relationships in the private and public sectors.

Explore and secure a pipeline of funding opportunities in the private and public sectors.
The successful candidate will have:
A strong commitment to understanding, respecting, protecting, representing and fulfilling the needs of those in marginalised communities.
At least 5 years’ senior management experience leading an organisation or business function. Experience in the community, charity, not-for-profit or childcare/youth work sectors desirable but not essential.
Excellent leadership, general management, business planning, financial management, people management and influencing skills.
Proven high levels of performance and expertise in financial, operational and human resource management.
An ability to engage with, seek to understand and represent a diverse group of people, their complex and changing needs, and other key stakeholder requirements is essential.
An appropriate 3rd level qualification in a relevant discipline such as business management, community development, voluntary sector management or a similar field. Further specific qualifications in any of the key OLOL service areas desirable but not essential.
Salary:
The salary offered will be within the range of €51,000 to €65,000
